Adding inlays to a completed cue?

Is it possible to add inlays to a cue thats a few years old?

I'd like some inlays added to a cue I own, just a few diamond shaped white inlays in the forearm and the butt. I've tried to contact the original builder but have been unsuccessful.

Any input?

Thanks in advance

Many cuemakers could do the job. More than a few would not agree to do it.

That must change the diameter if the cue by a few thousands. It will obviously mean a refinish. If it's not an expensive cue, it might be cheaper to start from scratch?
