Yes, Home Depot are VERY good store, but sadly not in Norway.
And I do not know what it called, if I did I could just order it online(ebay or simulare).

Do people really hate wearing a glove enough to mess with these? Seems like a pain in comparison.

Diy?

I would think with a quick trip to the fabric store and a needle and thread you could be the sole supplier of cue sleeves to Norway.

The product is PET expandable braided sleeving. It's commonly used for electronics to keep wires organized. If you don't find a suitable supply that will send to Norway, I'll send a few bits for the cost of postage. The material I have is black, but should otherwise be identical.

or just buy a small/thin childrens gloves, cut the fingers off and turn them inside out. experiment with different materials

There was a guy at the rec center where I learned to play who simply got a paper towel, tore off part of it, and wrapped it around the cue for easy sliding. We laughed at him. We probably would have been ROTFLOAO if he had worn a purple nylon glove instead. We were young and ignorant.

expo

There was a guy selling something like this at the Expo a couple of weeks ago. I'm sorry I can't remember what it was called. Hopefully someone else will.
Good luck with your search. Let us know if you find something.

Did a search this morning and found the website- http://billiardengineering.com/ Hopefully this helps.
