Joey ultimate player

I have been following this cue for a couple years. since I got my first Joey I cant help getting more. All to satisfy my selfish wish of getting an ultimate cue that looks great in addition to playing superb.

I have my plain Joeys, played my best pool with one, but it has a lizard wrap which is not of my best preference, and I thought plain janes look less intimidating :). I dont know with others but with Joey cues, you can look for perfection combination of look and play, because the play part is ALWAYS guaranteed. My quest begun to find a conversion (always thought pointed cues looks sharper). 5 conversions have come and go and I learned a lot and after each, my requirements get higher.

When this cue was available before, I missed out a couple times, but not the third :). I think my quest has completed. This is my ultimate cue. The cue originally had a hand rub oil finish, which I thought would be better for feel, but then the seller to me said it would shine with a finish, and the cue was with Mike Webb already. so I agreed to wait for 2 more weeks and the cue turned out awesome. I hope Joey agrees.

The BEM and Bocote both have amazing figures. points are long and even, great ratio between handle/points/forearm portions. slimmer handle, almost 20oz (my liking) that pairs perfectly with a 4.5oz Joey shaft I have already. huge deflection so most would run away from it but not a big deal to me :).

And the shafts, they speak for themselves :)

Here are a few pics. Thanks for stopping by.

Mike's finish is second to none.

That's an old warrior right there.
It's been through a lot of battles.
I've stopped using radial screw for a while now.

thanks Joey.

I am lucky to have this but would love to learn more about its history also.

Big test still lies ahead, which is getting familiar with this cue :), but really from start of 2017 I havent settled on one cue, have been switching between my Ebony Joey, curly bubinga Zylr and 2 PH Joey petes, now I will only focus on this :)
