I'm proud to announce our very first TRUE KING OF THE CASTLE: Chris Taormina!
While "PeeWee" (Miguel Laboy, A+) sat pretty undefeated in the hot seat, sealing his fate wasn't as easy as it would seem. Chris Taormina (A) came charging from the start gate and all of a sudden Chris was up 7-1!
Being that Chris was coming from the losers' side, it became an extended race to 9 since he had reached 7 first (rather than having to beat the hot seater in 2 sets).
That's when PeeWee caught his gear & started making a come back & brought it to 7-6! Wow right?!
Unfortunately for him, Chris didn't let up bc this man was on fire. Chris triumphed over PeeWee 9-6 & thus becoming the first TRUE KING OF CASTLE & the big winner of $10,000! PeeWee, who by the way, played phenomenal all weekend long walked away with $5100 !

John & I would like to thank all our players & supporters for making our inaugural year successful.
Special thanks to Scott Simonetti, our tournament director. And like he said last night at closing, we hit a few bumps & hiccups in the beginning but hopefully it only means this year will be better &
smoother now that we got most of the kinks out. Not to forget our lil Sweet Pea, Jennifer Pedutem who stepped up to assist as this "mama bear" (a name given to me by Scotty, by the way, lol) was preparing to have her cub.
Special thanks also goes out to Caroline Pao & Mezz cues, my hard working staff (esp. Abby, who I'm convinced must be a robot ), & of course Upstate Al for the live coverage.

Format:
9-ball
rack your own
double elimination
*no more called 9-ball*
Entry: $55 ($50 goes to the prize fund & $5 towards 5 cue raffle tickets)*
Break & Run Raffle every tournament
Once again we are adding $500 to start off the Break & Run for the first tournament
Cue Raffle: winner will get to pick cue from our showcase*
Start Time: 12pm
We add $1000 based on a 64 player field.
We hold these series every 2nd & 4th weekend of the month (if scheduling permits - so tune in here for the latest updates or possible changes).
You must be rated before participating, so private message us here before the event if you are new to KOC. If you do not have a set ranking
off other tours/tournaments, someone must vouch for you.
*Instead of paying $1000 for the top casher at the end of the year, $500 will go to the top A/B casher & $500 will go to the top C/D casher.
