About GOLD RUSH Custom CUESKevin McClain is a cue maker that stands behind Gold Rush custom cues and is located in Cameron, Texas. He has been into pool for bigger part of his life. Had a poolroom and closed it in 2007 and everything he sold, he invested into cue equipment. At the start he made about 12 cues a year with his partner Alan Sutton and after a few years they came with name Gold Rush. Kevin and Alan both were born and raised in Northern California.
Kevin built his 1st cue in 1997.
In regards to construction Kevin would only attach the "A" JOINT with metal if the wood in the cue is too light.
All of their cues are balanced about 2-3" above the wrap.
