Kept working with John on new cues since it is such a pleasure dealing with him. Highly appreciate him as a person and as a cue maker. Amazingly nice, polite and a humble guy, old school.
At the same time cues he builds are equally old school and the way cues were built in the past. He is highly meticulous and devotes time to every stage of the build so the final product is highly quality and fantastic.
You will be able to see more of his work and meet up with him at this year's ICCS Show at Chattanooga, TN.

John Bender is a New Jersey cue maker who was mentored by Richard Black. His work is distinctly his own however, and stands out from Mr Black's, or the other "Bender" cuemakers, Mike and Matt. (no relation)
John Bender is a single-minded artisan whose energies are concentrated primarily on one task – making first class pool cues. Having worked with Richard Black, it’s no wonder that he too produces cues that not only play superbly but also qualify as legitimate works of art.
I highly appreciate his work and find his cues as one of the best ones that you can find. His shaft wood is one of the best i have seen and the construction quality of his cues is amazing.
This is fantastic playing cue indeed and highly quality built old way, without cnc.
The other great thing is that John is amazingly nice, polite, helpful and responsive. He is really a gentleman and a class act. I have enjoyed in communication with him since the start.
