About Verl HornVerl's work is quite well-respected and known for the craftsmanship that he held towards the cuemaking process and his designs and care.
Probably the most underappreciated maker of all time.
Verl made cues out of Ok. He is know for is extensive and creative
work. He used large amounts of in most of his cues. When he would travel to shows he would sell to cover his nut. Stories I have heard tell of him showing up at shows with an entire trunk full of . While the craftsmanship was very good, his cues had larger butts remnisent of Rambos, or larger, and the shafts were also on the heavy side with a steep conical taper. His apprentice, Steve Kornele still works out of Moreland OK and makes the absolute best cue for the price. He has slimmed down Verls style, but still uses mostly on all white parts. Verl did some wonderful work. Steve has carried on the tradition.
