About Bob Zide Bob began building cues part-time in 2001 in Margate, Florida, while working full-time as a baker. He learned the fundamentals of cues from his father, who performed cue repairs in California. Bob acquired equipment from the renowned Arnot Wadsworth and, after training under Arnot, began crafting his own cues. He further honed his skills by learning extensively from the legendary Dennis Searing, even assisting Dennis for a couple of days each week.
The finish on his cues is simply breathtaking—nothing short of amazing. Every single aspect is 100% perfect, executed with unparalleled precision. I’ve yet to encounter another maker who crafts a stainless steel joint quite like Bob does. The shaft wood features some of the tightest growth rings I’ve ever seen, and even the joint protectors are masterfully done, perfectly complementing these beautiful cues.
