03' Ebony and Birdseye Maple 4 Point GILBERT

I have posted this once before on Monday morning and now the post magically disappeard. I have a 03' Gilbert with a flat faced ivory joint with a 3/8 x 10 pin. The cue was a player when I bought it so it does have dome dings in the very bottom of the butt but nothing major. The cue is almost 10 years old so it is going to have some dings and dents.

There is 2 shafts both with ivory ferrules and old morri med. tips that are becoming very hard over time. The wrap is a black linen. The 4 points have 4 veneers which 2 of them look like a red wood natural veneer and the others must be white and black (not sure of the veneer materials. The 4 points are defintely ebony as well as the butt. The butt cap is most likely Delrin and white.

I do not have a scale or a micrometer to weigh or measure the shafts but im any of you really need that let me know and I can get the exact numbers. I believe the cue weighs around 19.5 and the shafts are most likely both 13mm and tapered the same.

The cue hits greta but just sits in my case. I am looking for cash but would be open to trades as well as cash and a trade for a cue.

Im looking for 700.00 shipped priority mail. And preffered payment method is Pay_Pal or a postal money order.

My name is Cole and you can pm anytime as I check them regularly and if you want pictures please pm with an Email ADDRESS as the picture size is to big to upload and it will be easier that way with better pictures.

Thanks

Pending Payment

The cue has been sold pending payment to the first person who said that they would take it. Thank you everyone for all of your speedy messages and interest in this cue. Would of liked to post the original pictures but they were to big and did not do the cue justice otherwise.

Beautiful cue and a great player - Andy is a great craftsman

Sold

The cue has been sold! Thank you all for your interest and pm's. This site has to be one of the best for selling cues and buying anything pool related.

Thanks

seller lied about condition of cue. all the rings are seperating and discolored bad. looks like it sat in his trunk for a month. or he claims he described it to a "T" as he stated. but no where does he state anything about the rings in this cue. then he states "all cues in Minnesota rings are like this" WTF is that suppose to mean???? but because he sold it for a good price is suppost to make up for his lack of ability to be honest. " i have 4 people that would buy it" but not one of them or me new the true condition of the cue. AZ beware....

Funny how i told you it was a player and you seen the pictures. And i told you how there was dings in the butt. You buy the cue for 675.00 and you think its gonna be prestine?

All of you who buy a player should not expect to just hang it on the wall and have it be a part of a collection with prestine condition.

If you wanted a flawless gilbert you should of spent a 1000 or bought one from andy himself.

I didnt lie about anything but you spread the word buddy!

From the above desciption(bold and underline added by me), I would have only expected some dings on the butt and minor wear. I would think that anyone buying a cue with the above description would reasonably expect the cue to not have severe finish issues.

Hopefully you will make this right with stickbender. If not, I hope $675 was worth the loss of your honor & reputation.

Caveat emptor, i guess.

Rings seperating are a pretty big issue and should be disclosed.

If I were to buy the cue; I would also expect dings and dents but would be unhappy if I found the rings discoloring and separating.

You should ask the buyer what he wants to do and give him the option of returning it.

plus the fact that i asked him directly if anything dings was bad enough to brear or chiped the clear or any rings are lifted. His answer was no. He added nothing to lead me to believe other wise. But now its i gave you a deal. You should be happy. The point is if he stated the truth and i bought it no problem. But when you state other wise it is not the same deal..

he said i can return it. But ive been down this road before. As soon as i return the cue, then its wheres my money, etc. Then im out both. I rather him make the money right or i just take the loss. As soon as i sent the pm to him and seen his responses, no way am i getting jacked double...

Funny how this all happens. The cue is 10 years old and the rings are not seperating, maybe dic-colored some as with age and being in and out of the cold.

You can ruin my rep. and status all you want but I know you got a good deal and just because the cue was played and dinged your mad that the deal wasnt a steal for you!

It's ridiculous that your review of the cue is so bad when there was plenty of people who owuld of bought it for that price in a players condition all day.

If your so unhappy with the cue then sell it. I've bought cues many of times where it isnt EXACTLY what I thought it would be and I sold them myself.

Why dont you all jump on the band wagon and support your buddy in his cue problems!!!

WTF are you talkin about... i dont know anyone who posted here. and its funny now you want to play me for the money now. get called out on trying to scam someone and as most cowards do turn things with threats... good luck in life buddy what goes around comes around...

Should of just sold the cue locally cause every non pool player like yourself likes to put all these nice cues in a case and let them sit. Well I play with my cues everyday and I dont wrap them up in a blanky and coddle them.

The cue was almost 10 years old and you knew it, also you knew the cue was dinged up at the butt cap. There might be one major ding depending on who you ask and the rings are not nearly as bad as you describe.

It's always the persons own discression and thoughts of how the cue looks and what kind of damage is on the cue, so your review might be set to a higher standard than mine. I'm a pool player not a pool cue collector and if you want a prestine cue with no dings, dents, or dis-coloring then buy a new cue or slighty used cue not a cue that is 10 years old and has been played almost the whole time!!

You can ruin my Reputation and my AZ status all you want but I know you got a great deal and your upset that you didnt steal the cue from me like you thought, thats why you jumped on it so fast too - because of the price.

Go cry to your AZ buddies and waste your time cause I dont have time to argue with you anymore!

Do you really think misleading the buyer is ok just because you think its a good deal? Really?

Nobody threatened you at all. I asked you to play for the cue and 500 and you told me careful what I wish for cause you travel. Well when you make it to Minneapolis bring the Gilbert and your 500 and we play a set for each.

Barbox eightball or Big Table ten ball for the cue and the 500!
I dont even know how you play but I'm willing to let you try and win the money for the cue and my extra 500!

Book that plane ticket and start practicing bud!

Didnt mis lead anyone I just explained it like I thought was right and what kind of condition I thought the cue was in.

I didnt try to cheat, lie, or mislead you at all so quit running your mouth over the computer.

Easy for you all to talk shit when your typing in front of your computer and half of you dont even know what your talking about so go find something important to do.

I'm done listening to you and all of your B.S. cause you feel you were cheated or lied too when you were all about it and you didnt start saying anything till 2 days after you had the cue and you showed other people who told you different like you said.

Have a nice day!

Maybe you should start a new thread, post pictures and the original ad and then let the members decide.

i dont know the poster; I just commented on the thread because someone got a cue that they felt was aquired because of mis-leading information and now they are looking for a resolution.

I have a perfect solution... reverse Escrow.

The seller should refund the money to FastNLoose.. the buyer can then ship the cue to FastNLoose.

Some PP and shipping fees will be lost but it seems better than other options.
