Hello all. I just wanted to show a few pics of some of the cues I will be bringing to the 08 SBE in a few months. I just snapped these tonight as I was making another pass on the saw machine. You may not be able to tell from the photos but a few of the cues need a few thousandts more cut off before the veneers will make a sharp point. These butts are still .030 oversize. I will be adding buttsleeves this week.
Top to bottom they are
Ebony on ebony with blue, green, blue veneers and stich rings
Amboyna burl with curly maple points
Ebony with amboyna burl points with red, green, orange veneers (this cue pops in person)
8points of ebont into birdseye maple (camera did not pick up the eyes well in any if the birdseye cues)
6points cocobolo into birdseye maple
solid snakewood
6point tulipwood into ebony
6point cocobolo into birdseye
and last is a plain purpleheart into bacote.

Hi Chris, I'm looking forward to seeing you and your group of finhed cues at VF. That has to be one of the most figured snakewood forearms I've seen!! What are you thinking of doing to it?

Martin

Martin. I don't know yet. I didden't want to cover it with points so I assembled it plain and will likely add some small accent inlays. I would like the wood to be the focal point of the cue. I should also mention the veneer used is from Martin. I know the pics dont show them real well but they look great in person. Chris.

Chris,

The amboyna burl with curly maple points is appealing to my eye.

You sure you want to take that one with you to VF or ship it up I-25? :)

Chris, Nice point work! I gotta agree that's one of the nicest pieces of snakewood I've seen. Looks like you'll have a real nice batch of cues for Valley Forge. See ya in V.F., Steve D.

Chris,
Nice work.. I really like the red/white veneer pointed cue. But that end cue.. with the bacote.. you have no idea how much I hate bacote.. lol.. it'll be the first one you sell though...:p

Love the bocote and purpleheart. My next Webb is similar except ebony points into bocote. Nice work and see you in VF.

Regards,
Koop

Very nice work Chris. My fav is the Amboyna burl. That will be a looker with some clear on it. Congrats on some fine work.

Thanks Steve. I bought a whole snakewood log several years ago. I got some great pieces with figure all the way around. This is the first cue I have made with it. See you at the show. Chris.

Funny, I had to force myself to put that one together with no veneers but I have had several people by the shop lately who picked it up first. I thought no one would like it. To quote joe dirt "It's not what you like, It is what the consumer likes":D Chris.

Feel free to call me if you want to work something out. Chris.

Thanks everyone for all of the calls and pm's. I will be happy to take orders for any custom cues if you want something built. I have recieved alot of great offers on the posted cues but I cannot sell any more of them or I will not have anything to take to the expo with me. I will have a couple v point cues following these shortly after the expo is over if anyone does not want to wait for a custom ordered cue.
Again thanks for all the comments and calls. I was suprised at the response I got on these. Chris.
