Not to sound like an old poster on here and be selling something that is not made yet but I have enough Purpleheart left to make about 30 full length 6-pie laminated coring dowels. These are (will be) large enough in diameter to use as the wrap area being at least 1.35". These will be done approx the last week of May if I have the orders to make it worth while taking the time now. This wood is about 11 years old and very stable. Price will be $34.00 each plus shipping. Pre orders taken, money due when they are ready to deliver. The next batch will be at least 2 years down the road.
Also, as described on another thread, 18" 6-pie laminated maple dowels, if there are enough orders to make it worth doing. These will be 16-18" in length and 1" in diameter. There is enough wood to make about 90 or so. Cost on these will be $12.00, which does not cover the cost of the boards let alone any labor. But it does put the wood to use and get me money to buy more wood. These will also be completed about the last week of May given enough response to start on them soon.
