10’ Brunswick Centennial Restoration Progress

Thought I would share some progress pictures from my table restoration of my 10 x 5 Brunswick Centennial. Mark Gregory did the rail work for me, refinished the rosewood and rebuilt the sub rail. 4.5” corners and tighter side pockets, new cushions. Had the aluminum polished to a mirror finish which is a process, first removing the anodized original finish. That’s no small thing for the 10 foot Centennial. Hard to find a shop that could dip the 10’ skirts. Next and final step will be to have the slates refinished and have the table assembled by Bob Bebb of Rebco here in California. That’s my plan. Probably have the finished table reassembled with pictures within the next several months. There’s so much character in these older tables, it’s really enjoyable to do the full restoration process!

I’ve known Bob Bebb since the early 80’s. He’s been a mainstay in Fresno & Clovis pool for decades.
I’ve just met him recently and he’s pretty incredible in terms of his knowledge, craftsmanship and respect for the history of billiards. Like Mark Gregory and many others out there, the pool community has some artistic geniuses as craftsman and mechanics. Definitely takes a blend of skill sets to do what these guys do!

Centennial + 10 Footer = Ultimate Envy!

Somewhere all the Valley Bar Box kids are shedding a tear...

I see a serious problem with that table.............................

It is not in my house instead!

You could always practice side to side! 🤣
No bargain...need a 60" plus cue with an extension. Sorry to hi-jack...In Phila (Allengers) we played 8 ball on a large snooker table. Took longer than my first game of 1P. Needed a clothes pole for the rake.

Yeah definitely helps that I’m 6’ 4! But, in my opinion, nothing more beautiful than a long perfect pocket speed shot rolling the length of a 10 footer!

Looks good Tim. Did you get rid of your ultimate?

Thanks! No, I still have the Ultimate. That’s set up right now while the Centennial is being finished. That Ultimate has been a great table, really enjoy playing on it. I’m going to have the cushions replaced and maybe have the pockets tightened once the Centennial is ready. I’m the domestic battle to get more territory in my house! So far, my wife won’t agree to two tables set up at once...unreasonable! 😂
