And this one in 2005

Independent Event
White is spectacular in Sevierville
The ninth stop of the J Pechauer SE Open 9-Ball Tour's 2005 season was held September 10th - 11th at Sevierville Billiard Club as part of Sevierville's September Extravaganza. The good folks are Sevierville Billiard Club are hosting three events in a row starting Sept 3th - 4th and ending Sept 17th - 18th.

Just like last weekend, there was no admission fee for the fans who wanted to come out and watch these great players doing battle on the green cloth. The fans were definitely not disappointed as Tim Heath captured the hot-seat with a 9-7 win over Mike Patton.

Patton then went to the one loss side and suffered another 9-7 loss; this time to Brian White.

This set up the final match between White and Patton for the $1000 in first place prize money. The final match was a close one all the way, but in the end Brian White earned the 11-9 win for first place.

White pocketed the $1000, while Heath settled for $420. Patton and Russ Edwards filled out the top four spots. The top female finisher was Janet Atwell and the top junior was Lauren Collins. Each won $50 in bonus money for their finish.

The SE Open 9-Ball Tour will be back at the Sevierville Billiard Club in Sevierville Tennessee next weekend for another event.

Complete Results:
1st Brian White $1000
2nd Tim Heath $420
3rd Mike Patton $300
4th Russ Edwards $200
5th/6th Matt Brandon, Ricky Bingham $100

SE Open
Brian White wins Athens 9-Ball Open
Tommy Kennedy and the South East Open 9-Ball Tour were at Murphy's Brass Rail in Athens, Georgia this weekend for the Athens 9 Ball Open.

Two top seeds took quick trips to the one-loss side as both Kennedy and Brian White found themselves victims to losses on Saturday.

The match for the hot-seat turned out to be a family battle with Jim Jennings beating son Marty Jennings hill-hill. Marty then lost to Brian White who had taken the long way to get to the finals.

Brian was able to ride his momentum into the finals and beat Jennings 11-7 for the tournament win.

White earned $660, while Jim Jennings settled for $500 in second place prize money. Marty Jennings and Bruce Berrong filled out the top four spots.

Tour director Tommy Kennedy thanked new tour sponsor David Adams as well as Grace and her whole family for hosting this event. Special thanks to Lane for taking care of the players all weekend long.

Complete Results:
1st Brian White $660
2nd Jim Jennings $500
3rd Marty Jennings $350
4th Bruce Berrong $250

SE Open
Brian White takes first in Johnson City
Tommy Kennedy brought his SE Open 9-Ball Tour to Numan's Billiards in Johnson City, TN this weekend with a field of 37 players fighting it out for the $1000 in added prize money.

Tournament favorite, Tommy Kennedy, dropped a close 7-6 match to 72 year old Bob Fannin from Pikesville KY on Saturday and got to work trying to make his way through the one-loss side. Fannin, on the other hand, remained undefeated until the quarter finals on the winners side where he lost to Brian White 9-5.

Fannin took the trip to the one-loss side where Kennedy was laying in wait. The rematch between Kennedy and Fannin was another close one, but this time it was Kennedy scoring the 9-7 win to send Fannin home in third place.

Kennedy and White then had a very closely contested final match that saw Kennedy lead 9-7, but then fall behind 10-9. In the 20th rack, Kennedy had the chance to get out but missed a makeable 1-ball. Kennedy did not get another chance, as White ran out for the 11-9 victory.

White earned $655 for first place, while Kennedy settled for $500 in prize money. Fannin and Jerry Grooms filled out the top four spots. Mark Pendley was the top junior finisher and Jenora Avery was the top female finisher. They both earned $50 for their finishes.

Kennedy commented that Dan and Jan Numam were great hosts and that the crowd really brought an added level of excitement to the tournament. When Dan Numan is not taking down poker tournaments with his wife, he is busy building his own line of pool tables. And the Numan tables that were used in the tournament 'played like a dream' said Kennedy.

The SE Open 9-Ball Tour will be at Play-Boy Billiards in Lake Worth, FL on October 30th - 31st for their next event.

Based on the reasearch just here on AZ the answer to your question is, NO you may not play in the Amateur-Advanced Division. You have at least 7 open wins in the last 5 years.

Brian, without any doubt you are at the minimum an Open event player. I am psoitive you will prosper in these events and quite possibly move on to professional events in the near future either on your own or through the ATS. Please keep an eye on our schedule for more Open events coming this and next year.

This is interesting. I thought this tour was created for Brian White. That is an impressive record though.

So do I get to crash with you this weekend? You can give me that $40 and chop me into pieces. Unless you're backing out on our deal.

Well, if it was just me in the hotel I would say OK. But Terrie has this thing about other guys in our hotel room

However, I live about 45 minutes away from Side Pockets and if you need to you can stay at our house Friday or Sunday if you need to. We have a spare room, spare bathroom and even 2 couches for stragglers.

Mj

PS... Eddie Little (fasteddienc) might be a good guy to crash with to save on expenses. He's at all the events.

Here is a Pic from when Muttley stayed over.

And also, you need to consider that i played in roughly 30-40 tourneys a year. With that many i'm bound to slip up and win eventually. This is the problem with just making a cut and dry line. I play in 3 times as many events as others so i'm going to finish high more often. Common sense.

And lastly, you said if i'm correct, you were going to have a 3 tier system? So i'm in the top tier in pool just like every American pro?

Mike,

When do entries open up for the upcoming events here? I'll be there.

Thanks,
Josh Hillard

So let me get this straight. You think that I play TWO tiers above Eddie Little??

I don't think anything baout your ability or his. You record of achievements clearly states that you play much better.

Josh, hopefully next week I will have a pre-registration sign-up button so you can pay by PayPal and/or senda money order.

Right now I am just waiting on confirmation from a new hotel that is opening behind the Pool Room so I can get everyone decent rates.

In your vast tourney research have you come across the info that he's beat me twice in a row in tourneys?
And take a guess how many open events have been in this area lately and how many are scheduled? 00000000000000000000000000000 Just like I said it is your absolute intention to hurt the good players. Someone could also tell you that two players play exactly the same and you will still ban one and allow the other simply because one played in many more events. YOU ARE NOT FAIR OR JUST AS YOU CLAIM.

Yes Brian that is my intention. And probably why I put up $120,000 for the ATS which is designed for the best of the best. Or why we have given away around $3,000,000 in prize money to Open events.

Here is one of the Zero 00000000000000 Open tournaments that you mention are not there.

Of course as you will note this information was posted on: 08-15-2008, 01:11 PM which is at least 14 days prior to your post stating we have ZERO 00000000000000 Open events. It could easily have been found here: http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=109612&highlight=hole+thang or Here: http://www.azbilliards.com/2000showschedule.php?tournum=22 or Here: http://www.vikingcue.com/9balltour/tour.html or on most forums.

Brian, your arguments would be a little more believable if you did your due diligence when referring to anything. Anything at all.

Anyway, thanks for bumping up this thread and keeping it near the top. I appreciate your efforts .
