$10,000 club

LOL! This reminds me of an old thread on a Porsche site. "How fast have you driven?" Guys were posting speedometer pics...120-130- 145, etc. Then one guy posted a pic of he driving a 935 slantnose long tail during the Daytona 24 hours race, saying "No speedometer, but I was doing about 210 here. Speed is all relative." HA! That ended the thread...:D
My 959 story is so lame I’ll share it. Sadly I didn’t buy it. Could have got it for $225k. This was in 04. Back then I wasn’t into that car much. Time imo has treated it well.

my driving story. I drove down the golf course in first gear at 5mph into the auction tent, stopped, auction goes and it doesn’t meet the reserve. I never drove it again. Lol
I'm not sure it's a "pretty elite group of pool players" with a $1000 entry. How much do you win in that same tournament with a $100 entry $1200?
Great point.

The multiple of turning a $100-$500 entry into $10k-$40k Reno & US Open come to mind is much stronger than a 24 player $1000 bracket tourney. Have to go deeper in a much stronger field. However the OP still held up and did win something noteworthy. I’ve never accomplished that. But no he’s not Buddy Hall.

Best regards,
Fatboy😀😀

I like the idea of some hi entry tourneys for pool. I don’t think it’s a bad idea. Even some that cap skill ratings so weaker players than champions can play for more than $50 tourney.
