hi,,,whats the rule in 10 ball if you nominate a ball and pot it correctly and then the cue ball hits another ball into the pocket ? is this a legal shot ? we want to know the correct ruling on this shot ,,the rules they use in the world 10 ball championship,,,,thanks for any help on this,,,tjd.

If you make a called shot, any other ball that goes in afterward is fine.

The only exception would be if you make the 10 ball, it would spot back up and you continue shooting. I also think that in that case, if the spotting of the 10 ball would place it between the cueball and the next ball you are shooting at, it would be spotted AFTER the shot.

No provision for delayed spotting under any circumstance in either WSR or BCAPL. This ain't 1P. ;-) If it's in the way then it's bad luck, carelessness, or both.

9.5 Call Shots & Pocketing Balls
Whenever the shooter is attempting to pocket a ball (except the break) he is required to call shots, the intended ball and pocket must be indicated for each shot if they are not obvious. Details of the shot, such as cushions struck or other balls contacted or pocketed are irrelevant.
so to answer your question, yes it counts, its legal
