I was looking at your rules for the tour & wanted to ask if you will have any restrictions concerning phenolic tips.

Do you need a member card to play in the tournament? If so, can you purchase one on the day of the tournament as part of paying the entry fee?

Is the field going to be limited?

Memberships

You can buy it on line or that day either way no big deal.

Hope to see you there.

It will not be limited.

Mike,
How much will it cost to enter the amateur event? The flyer says $65 plus $10 fee. That's $75. Now there is talk of the "tour card". How much is it?
Do I have to buy it? Are there any league discounts, etc.? Could you please just answer this question: "What is the total cost of entering the Amateur event if one has never played in any Team DMIRO events before"? Thanks in advance.

Amatures

Amatures do get discounts on the tour card, all of which is on our website. Also Military members get discounts too..

Now, an amature doesn't have to buy a tour card, unless, they want to play in more then 1 event. Or 2 they win top 8 and they are invited to the year end event.

So it is strongly recommended that amatures buy their tour cards.

lets break this down.

$65.00 (Stays in prize pool) + $10 (fee) + $15.00 (Tour Card) =$90.00

We are doing our entry fees like poker tournaments. We feel that this is going to be the future of how tournaments work.

Reason.

So you know if there are 100 amateurs and 30 pros + 2,000 added

the prize pol should add up to $11,500.00

We are not taking a percentage and hiding how many players are at the events, this way there is integrity in all of our events and players will know what the prize field SHOULD be.

Gracias!!

Thanks Mike. That's all I was looking for. If I play in the amateur event, I will pay the $65 + $10 fee but I will not buy the Tour card as this is probably the only event I will enter. If I finish in the top 4 at Breaker's then I will buy the Tour Card for $15 (discounted due to my TAP league membership) so I can then play at year-end event at Valley Forge.

Mike,

What did the payouts look like for the 1st event held in NYC this past weekend? How many pros? How many amateurs? Can you give a listing of this information please?

What about dress code?

Re bump this to the top....
Hi Mike,

How strictly is dress code enforced? DMIRO website specifically mentions 'no shorts' but the flyer for this event does not say anything about 'shorts'. Are dress shorts and golf shirt acceptable attire? I mean that's how I dress when I golf at a country club. Please elaborate.

Shirts

Collar shirts are required, but since it is still summer we are lax on the shorts. You can wear shorts. During our larger events where we will stream we will require pants and collar shirts.

Pittsburgh, you can wear shorts, but no tee shirts.
