10' Kling proper storage?

I am having a 10' Kling delivered but it's going into storage until I purchase a larger house. Not sure if this will be in 6 months or 6 years.

I'm wanting to know the best way to store a table. I'm planning on crating it & storing in my garage but I've read conflicting reports of how to store the slate. Vertical or Horizontal? This has 1 1/2" slate, can that really warp? The crate will be on wheels, so it will be off the ground, I live in Colorado where it is already pretty dry.

Thanks for the help,

If its crated, leave it flat. If its out of the crate, i perfer to store it standing up. IMO, That thick slate would take many years to move.

I know we are talking about slate but this is standard practice in the machine shop with a set of engine heads. Heads are always stored standing up. Just my 2 cents worth.
