hello. i'm new, and did look through the threads, but could not find what i need help with. i just purchased a brunswick table, looks like a gold crown, but has snooker rails, and is closer to 5 by 10, than 4 and a half by nine. I would like to convert the rails to nine ball style rails with square cut pockets. I have many fine wookworking tools and can remodel the face of the rails to accept the different rubber, but have a few questions:
-do they make rubber long enough to span 53"?
-what angle in degrees should the fastening surface be?
- will i need to shim the rail up to a new height from the slate?
any advice would be very much appreciated.....thank you.
