Thanks mj, agree with most of what you said. Def better to avoid the cushions but I would prob add the center pocket break shot at number 3 or 4 of my favs. No rails involved and is very similar to breaking the reds from the blue in snooker.

That's funny, hobokenapa. I've always asked myself that same question. Are these people crazy? With the immigrant population of this city, I'd bet there'd be more business for some good old 12 footers than what's available today. Anyway, Master Billiards has *one* snooker table and that is all I know. I've recently discovered the snooker tables at Spin. Don't know of any other place. Now, the continuation to your question is: Where does Raymund Fung play? Does he have a 12 footer in his own home? If so, is that the only place he practices in? Go figure.

My name is Alan Morris and I am a 31-year-old English professional snooker player and board member of the United States Snooker Association (USSA).

I spend a lot of time in the United States playing snooker exhibitions all around the country, though when I visit NYC I play at the New York Athletic Club.

There are also snooker facilities at Carom Cafe Billiards in Flushing, and Platinum Billiards in Brooklyn (that's where Ray Fung, the runner-up in last year's United States National Snooker Championship, plays). There is also a snooker table at Comet Billiards in Parsippany in NJ.

I will be back in NYC next month playing at the NYAC.
