Great cafe de clemence Isaure Toulouse, French lithography around 1865, if one compares the French billiard rooms and U.S. we can easily understand the importance of this game in both countries, the United States.

2010 I think players should be wearing USBA Golf /Polo Shirt for regular tournaments and shirt, bowtie, and vest, yes black shoe and pant for National or Invitational Tournament. Crap I have no voice,only an opinion as a NonMember.
 
The European union is having a recent discussion about having a polo shirt instead of the actual look, they started in many tournament specially in Spain to address the polo shirt as a new look!

To me , I agree and support it , ( like golf)....
 
Fox, I see you live in Studio City. Is the old North Hollywood Billiards on Magnolia still alive and flourishing? When Tiff Payne owned it in the late 60's, he had 8-10 billiard tables in the back part of the room.

North Hollywood billiard still barely alive! with 6 filthy tables,
The place depending on Beer, Unfortunately they don't take care of it, i walk sometime and hit some balls ! I like to play on bad table every now and then!
