You talk a good talk.....come on in town and put up. You havent a clue, and you the more you talk the dumber you sound.

The word was while I was in Springfiled, MO. was Dave Matlock, formally from KC, also a pretty decent player (top notch) had a standing offer of 10K matchups on a bar table. I had heard many came and played and didnt like it. You might have heard of Dave as he still plays and seems to always do well at DCC, and yes Splinterhands at DCC those are full sized Diamond tables.

Ugh these internet champions.........

Ken

Sorry I flew off the handle there. Jimmy tries to do a good job and as pool players we should support him and the cause of fundraisers for poolplayers. I will be playing and probably go (2 and out).

I am a skill level 5 in APA, and I am proud of Jimmy and Woody in their efforts to promote pool and they players.

They are both class acts and everyone should feel privaledged to know them.
No excuse but reason to reaction to negative.

Thanks Ken and Woody

I will start by saying I am going to charge a green fee of $15.00. I have been trying to build tournaments in this place for about five to ten years. We have came a long way, I do it for all of the great people that come in.!!! Thanks again, I hope to see a big turn out.

Why in the world do they play these big tournaments on bar tables? Bar tables should be collected and burned.

Well, I'd rather play on a 100inch table too, but you better get used to Bar Table tournaments... they're getting more and more popular all the time and I think they're here to stay. Most of the Midwest 9-Ball tour events are bar table events.

Not being argumentative. I'd rather play on 9'ers and pay a green fee than play on a bar box and have to carry 10 pounds of quarters around to get through a tournament, BUT, the trend, especially in the Midwestern States, is going towards Bar Box Tournies.

Wish it were a little closer. hmmmm I don't know... The old motorhome needs a good ringing out. I may just see how things go and try to make it.

Just curious, What is the fundraiser for?

Later,
Bob

Jimmy, Woody. Well, I got some news tonight that will prevent me from making it this weekend, but I can promise that I'll intrude on you sometime this fall. My Significant Other, Billie, has been in Texas with her mother for the past week and her Mom passed away, so it looks like I'll be at a funeral on Sunday in Texas. I don't do funerals well, but this one is a must attend kind of thing.

Regardless, I want to see your club and meet the two of you. I'll make the trip this fall for sure. I'm helping RandyG teach a pool school in Charlotte and another one in Raliegh in October, and may just take the "long way" to the Carolinas...

Best of luck with your tournament, and I'm sorry I can't make it... but I'll be there to visit, tourney or not, very soon.

My best,
Bob
