There are several suggestion boxes placed around the room for spectators and players alike and I know they (the IPT) are seriously considering them all.

I know they are listening to suggestions, because my husband suggested to Deno yesterday that it would be neat (and sell a lot of DVDs) if KT gave $10,000 or something to someone who could run out all 8 racks in a row. Deno gave him a funny look and I told Mike not to suggest that KT add any more money. What? He hasn't added enough? Today, the announcement came that KT is going to do that but instead of $10,000, it will be $100,000!

In talking with KT, he said the tournament overall went as expected, 90% good and 10% needing tweaking, but overall he was pleased.

We are to have another player's meeting tomorrow at 11:30 to go over how replacements are to be picked, give out checks, talk about changes, etc.

Thanks for the update Linda. Many of the AZers here feel that the whole tie-breaker system needs some tweaking. I don't know what the sentiments are for the players there, but it just seems like it makes more sense if they just use straight winning percentage instead of looking at losses only. As for carrying the stats over to the next round, there are mixed feelings about that. Do you feel the tie-breaker issue will be one of the topics discussed, or if there's a possibility the whole GLI thing will change? Thanks.

I don't know if that will be addressed at the player's meeting, however I know that all suggestions are taken seriously. Maybe you can email Deno with a forthright explanation and pros or cons. I actually already suggested they go by win % if there were ties and certainly to let the player that beat them go ahead, all things being equal, and lastly, use the GLI. But I think it will lend more weight if spectators and other people suggest it as well.
