10ball ghost race to 17

Excellent game ya got Charlie. I'll leave the fine tuning analysis to the instructors here, as I sure didn't see any glaring faults.

Nice shooting Charlie!

That guy was only in the bathroom for about 50 seconds. Is that enough time to pee AND wash your hands? Hmm...

You have slight chicken-wing, as is shown here.

But who cares, you still play better than me. Good shooting.

Ha! That dude at the very end glared at you when you brushed past him. Good shootin man, best video yet.

Nice runs. Not to nitpick, but the score after your first vid is 3-2 for the ghost. A scratch on the break counts as a loss.

I don't think most people count a scratch on the break as a loss when they play the ghost. I don't, I just spot up any balls I made on the break and take ball in hand.

Looked real good Charlie! How did the race end up? Where there more clips for that race that I didn't find?

One thing that I noticed, that I feel can help, is to take the same amount of time on each shot, even the easy ones. When you start to speed up for the easy shots, it can come back and haunt you.

Yes Neil there are 5 parts to the match. I ended up winning 17 to 6

Thanks for posting. As I am sure everybody does, I am always trying to rate someone's game as I watch. It seems from the video that you are at least a solid B player with good potting ability and positioning skills. I guess it might be that the table is easy, but the positioning is a little steeper than I like on average. On a tighter, 9 foot table, that would come back to bite you. I like your game though; on a 9 foot table, you would probably find yourself slowing down a little more to get shorter shape and hit the middle of the pockets more. Do they have 9-footers in there ? All in all, it's brave of ya to post your results.

No I play on the 9ft also. I have a video playing the 9ball ghost on a triple shimmed brunswick. I play it race to ten and win 10 to 4 I think. I dont think b players beat the 10 ball ghost. Although I guess that depends on were ya live. Here a B player might beat the 7 ball ghost on a 9 ft table racing to 10 or more. A players will beat the 9 ball ghost on the big table but its close. 10 ball I dont really know.

Yeah, I mentioned "at least" a solid B player since I didn't know how you played on a 9-footer with tight pockets. 10-4 against the 9-ball ghost is good playing so it would seem that would get you into the 'A' range. I'll check out your other video. I really like going by Jude's rating system that incorporates defense, kicking and breakout capabilities needed to be considered a top-notch player. It's really tough to ascertain someone's speed just from playing the ghost cuz it leaves out safety/kicking aspects which imho, I consider to be the distinguishing factors between A and B players. Anyway, great shooting and take it easy

The idea of playing the ghost is that given a chance to shoot, the ghost will win. If you scratch on the break, the ghost would start with BIH. Therefore, it should be a loss. If you don't make a ball, that's fine. Start with BIH. However, if you scratch, that's a loss the way I play the ghost. Seems more realistic. If you can run out with BIH, the ghost should be able to as well.
