10ft Snooker Table

I am on the look out for a used 10 or 12ft Snooker Table. I used to play Snooker a lot 20+ years ago and my highest break was a respectful 52. I currently live in the State of Georgia and I am finding it extremely difficult to find a table that is both affordable and available. Does anyone know of any individuals or suppliers who sell these type of tables near me? There are plenty of 7,8 and 9 ft tables but I'm not interested. Ideally it will be someone who is just looking to get rid of their table because they want to save some space or they have fallen out in love with the game and want to give up the table to someone they know will respect it. Thank you.

Near you? No. Affordable? They are being given away in British Columbia, Canada. Cliff Thorburn, the first non-British world champion of snooker, hails from Victoria where one 12’ is now too many in my poolhall; it stands empty at night while we have a waitlist for pool tables.

On Marketplace on Facebook People are asking $1,000 cdn (=70% of usd) but will give it to you if you take it away before the house changes hands. A beautiful, immaculate mahogany English antique table with great legs went for $1,000 usd and shipped to eastern USA. It breaks my heart to see these fine machines destroyed.

Crating and shipping will be a big cost. And who can set it up or change the rubber? I only trust the guy I trained to get it right using the B&SCC templates. Are there any Americcan mechanics who so this?

If you were interested in driving to ohio my brother has a ten ft Bruunswick Gold Crown he's talking about selling.I helped him move it from a Masonic Lodge.Looks like it's only been recovered two or three times, really good shape.

Yes, I had been looking in the Ontario area and there are a lot of good Snooker tables for very cheap prices but unfortunately none of the owners can ship it to the USA. So that's out of the question. I will probably have to be patient and see anything that comes up closer to me. I'm in no rush but I really appreciate the advice, thank you.

Hmmmm Ohio is probably too far, I'd have to hire a truck to transport it and cost then starts becoming a factor the further away I am from the Atlanta area. There are ten foot tables out there, since I know Gandy used to make them years ago in Macon, GA. A traditional English table would be nice but I'm not too bothered if it's in a pool table style. I don't know too much about American brand pool/snooker tables but Brunswick I've heard are considered top of the line? Know where Gandy tables are considered on this hierarchy?

My brother's not in any hurry to sell,I don't know what he wants for it but I' guess the price would be good.Just in case you are interested later on.

Thanks, if he does he may have to take it apart and try and ship it to me. I would have no idea how to go about doing that.
