Max looking good as ever. 114 against Ortman yesterday, and a 127-and-out against Harriman tonight.

Engert in his match today eliminating Bobby Hunter. Bobby opened his first inning with an 80+ run. Engert answered back with a 140+! Then elaborate safety battles and small runs went back and forth. Engert won, but by the slimmest of margins.

Harriman. Ran several 100+ runs this week, but couldn't get it all together against Eberle tonight. A fine performance, though.

Lee.

Jeanettee Lee in good form as always. She did well in the group stages, but not well in the bracket stages.

Mika. He was irritated with Sigel's comments and constant talking. At one point he turned to the man Sigel was talking to and asked him to refrain from conversation with Sigel. I felt bad for Mika, having to endure Sigel's rants. But I'm glad Mike eliminated him from the tourney.

Craig Riley. Let's hear it for one of our AZBers, with a top 16 finish!

Sigel. Not looking so happy. He probably felt cocky being undefeated in the group stages, only to go 2-and-out in the bracket stages.

Tomorrow I'll have the camera ready and snapping away at the 3 last matches.

Tonight it was. Toward the end of the tables (where Immonen/Davis and Hohmann/Ouschan were playing) the bleachers were packed and there were a couple dozen people standing even.

I may also try and post the beginning of Max's 114 run against Ortman. It's probably around 15 or 20 minutes long, but it's great. Max has been playing superb and makes it all look so easy.

Suburban Coach Bus from the Port Authority right to the East Brunswick Hilton is $14.70 round trip. That's cheaper than the train and it gets you right there no hassle. Leaves from NYC every 15 minutes. I'm going if you want someone to go with.
