Archer runs 98 Balls in the start of the match and babies the break shot to only knock out 1 ball and it hung up. Huidji See comes to the table and runs 100 and out !!!!....98 ball run and 100 Ball run in the same game of 100 points

Thanks for the update. Lipsky, Archer, and Huldji See were all tied (3-0) as of this morning. The only ones left to play in that group, were themselves.

A few decades ago Irving Crane gave up a piece of advice on the break shot when you only need a few: Hit the closing break shot just like all your other break shots.

Of course it is easy to second guess the shot, and some break shots should be shot softly (or at least Crane did), but I like the idea of not departing from your regular routine that you've spent years perfecting in the hope that if you miss your opponent won't have too easy a start.

There is a video on youtube of Efren playing Rempe in the 14.1 Maine event. It was a close game, and Efren needed only one after the break shot. He babied the break shot leaving himself only a bank. Fortunately for him he made it, but it could have easily gone the other way. Seems like good advice from Crane.

Efren is currently undefeated in tournament. I would really like to see him repeat what he accomplished in the Maine tournament 17 or so years back.
