TAR is not failing and I do not have my head in the sand. You really have no idea about how our business is doing, but nice try.
If I have the choice between an American made product and one made overseas and the quality and price point is similar I buy American. But I will not subsidize bad business practices and foolish management practices just because something is made here.
I worked for 10 years for Ford Motor Company. I was a third generation auto worker. I took a buy out and left because I saw the writing on the wall. No amount of jingoism is going to out run the profit motive. Right or wrong it is just the way it is. You can either innovate and adapt to make the environment work for you or you can wither and die.
The world is changing and for American industry it is not for the better. We better learn how to compete or it is going to get really ugly.
