15 year old maple shaftwood for sale

Hi guys,

A little bit of background on these shafts. Quite a while ago a cuemaker friend of mine told me about a big stash
of 15 year old shaftwood. He said they belonged to someone who in the past had made their own shafts
and cues but stopped doing so and were looking to sell the whole lot in one go.

I kind of figured he was exaggerating a little bit, but behold a few months later we finally were able to make
an appointment and here they were.
Indeed they used to belong to a rather big billiard supplies company that had started out with cue but shifted their
focus to selling and recovering tables.

The shafts looked great so I bought the whole pile, in total well over 2000 maple shaft squares and close to 1000
hornbeam squares (other thread on those following shortly).
Seeing the state of the pallets (aka the amount of dust) there was no doubt these had been in storage for a looonngg time.
The owner thought at least 15 years but could not remember exactly.

Well, here we are. I have thousands of squares of plenty aged shaftwood for sale.
The price for these squares is $8 each plus shipping. I am located in Europe so shipping will not be cheap, count on at least
$3 per square, maybe if you buy a whole bunch we can work out something with a freight company.

I took a few pictures of the pallets and pulled out 6 squares from the top of the pile for some closer pictures.
Please note that these 6 squares all have rather dense growth rings, not all the squares will be that good,
as you can see in the pictures of the pallets there are certainly shafts in there that only
have 6 or so growth rings. If you want an honest guess on the average (not binding by any means) I will say 10+ gpi.
The 6 in the pictures all have well over 15gpi as you can see, those kind of shafts will be in there aswell but not too many obviously.

There will be absolutely no cherry picking whatsoever. I will cull damaged squares and squares that are obviously warped.
They are around 30x30mm and well over 30" long, they weigh around 600grams each.

Minimum order is for 15 squares, anything less and the shipping would simple be too much.

Any questions please send me a PM
