15000 is the magic number

I came up with a spreadsheet to estimate what the final earnings will be for 2006. I deleted all the qualifiers who had less than 13000 and gave everyone who is still in the WO 30000

So by my estimates you will have to make at least 15001 this year to get your tour card for 07. If you get 15000 you will probably have to win by tie breaker.

You definately have too much time on your hands.

You gave everyone 5K for the Chicago tournament but 75 of them will only receive 3K.

I had to guess at how much each player would get. I figure the majority of the field would get 5K or less, especially the players who might finish 100 or less. One thing I messed up though is I gave some of the qualifiers 5K for the chicago tournament that they won't even be playing in.

Sarah Ellerby for sure
Allison Fisher probably, needs to get to second round
Loree Joh Jones maybe, needs to get to second round
Gerda Hofstetter probably not, needs to get to third round
Kelly Fisher probably not, needs to get to third round
Karen Corr probably not, needs to get to third round

Can I see your spreadsheet? How did you estimate the chicago earnings?

I used the lumpsum payouts shown on the website even though they will graduate all 150 payouts at the tournament. I don't think it matters since this is a simulation with many iterations. The observed cutoffs are averages.

Here is a snapshot of one iteration in which Dee Adkins wins the tournament. Congratulations Dee! If you want the actual spreadsheet to run your own iterations or refine the payouts I can send it to you.

Yes it looks like Sarah has enough already to keep her card. God is good.

I have my crystal ball all shined up and it shows both Allison Fisher and LJJ getting to round 2 due partly to the weak players in their group. KT is good.

LJJ seemed to play a lot better in this tournament.

Gerda, Kelly and Karen will just have to play the best they can. Most likely they will get to round 2 but getting to round 3 is a lot to expect.

If Allison fails to get her card it looks like she can have a career in the broadcasting booth with the IPT.

Of course there is Jasmin. If she can qualify for the final tournament then she should do well enough to get her card.

Or maybe not. The last open event has just finished, and i can't see her being invited due to dropouts because there are many other players that deserve the place more than her.

I think he is talking about the 2007 Tour card qualifier not the Chicago Masters event.
