PURCHASED WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR, THANKS EVERYONE!

Hi all,

As the title states, I'm looking to spend $160 ASAP on a low deflection shaft made to fit perfectly with a Schon. (model STL4) If you happen to have one laying around and it's in excellent condition (no blueing and even the slightest wobble), please PM me. If you have pictures, email me at taemin952@gmail.com.

e.g. OB2, OB Classic Pro in 12.5mm or 12.3mm, 314-2's in any diameter, Z2's, Jacoby Edge, etc.

The reason why I stress "Schon built", instead of stating simply 5/16x14, piloted with silver ring is because there IS a difference for made-to-fit Schon shafts. Please see the attachment.

Thanks,

Taemin

The ones with the mezz united joint fit nice and tight on a schon, just like the schon jointed ones. Ask anyone who's ever owned one.

I was using an OB with a regular pilot not a schon pilot and it does not make that big of a difference because it is such a big thread it is secure. However I get what you are saying. My black dot shaft is a jacoby pilot I think and it fits snuggly and nicely on the pin.

Good luck in your search

I've had both Z2 and 314-2 with standard 5/16x14 joint, one with a piloted Schon version, and a Mezz WD700 with united joint. Couldn't really tell the difference, it isn't tight until the final turn with either version. Having the pilot just makes you feel like it's more snug... :)
