This is a table that I leveled, sealed the joints, installed the bed cloth, and assembled today. I was called in after the customer was not impressed with the job the big name dealer did for him on his cushion replacement, they pulled the cloth on the rails too tight, compressing the cushions in many spots along the rail. I was happy to finish this table for him, he did a great job restoring the table. He did all the work, the legs need to be finished still, what an awesome table so I thought Id share...

Cool- I think that is the same table that I have, but mine is much worse for the wear. Hard to be 100% sure, as mine is missing the trim pieces. That one does seem to have some non-original bases on the legs. The model is the Wellington, and the one I have was in an Officer's Club, then to the Enlisted Men's Cllub, then to my wife's stepfamily for 50 years, now in my basement. I often wonder how many hours of play it has seen, must be LOTS.

Thanks for sharing! Looks great.

I thought it was a Wellington too, but he claims it is a 1912 Newport so I didnt argue, The legs were ruined from water damage over the years, he rebuilt them to the same size as the original ones.

OK then- I'll agree w/ him too. Looks like the Newport has the more ornate trim than the Wellington, and the one you posted pics of definitely has ornate trim. Imagine that, the guy knows his table!

Black-Balled,

I also have a Wellington (circa 1905 I believe). It came with the house we bought 2 years ago.

The previous homeowner played in the APA for a while and had the cushions replaced and Simonis installed. It plays quite well but unfortunately I do not know it's history.
