1963 Fischer Coin-Op advice:

Sorry if this is not the right forum category to post these questions to...

I recently acquired a 1963 Coin-Op Fischer “Royal 76”, craigslist for $50(also came with 4 short and slightly warped Sampaio cues). It’s an awesome little table 64”x32” playing surface, perfect for my tiny apartment and it plays pretty darn true(1 piece ¾ slate). It might take me a while to recoup the $50 investment while charging the 1960’s going rate of 25 cents per game ;).

So, the cushions are dead and I was wondering if anyone knew the original cushion profile or one to upgrade to? The measurements seem closest to K66, maybe the rubber has shrunk a little bit? I’m about to recover it myself with Tour Edition 3030 (I hear it’s easier to glue than Simonis and I got a great deal) and was planning on replacing the cushions while I’m at it…

Because it’s such a small table is the quality of the cushion as important as on a 9 footer? What brand cushion would you guys go for? I’m trying to keep it cheap so I’m not looking for Artemis cushions per se, I’m just looking for something to complement the cloth quality and scale of the table...

Also the ball return is made of sheet metal: LOUD… It sounds like a skateboard on a tin roof, does anyone have any ideas for muffling the sound (im thinking some kind of tape on the inside of the track to deaden the sound…?

I cannot find any information on these tables other than one old newspaper ad that I found in a billiard magazine archive… So any other information would also be great.

Thanks in advance
Dave
