1969-1970 Joss

Nice- Now, how did you convince yourself to sell it?!

I played w/ an old Joss (68?) that looked lots like the one pictured, but with a wood/ wood 3/8x10 pin.

I thought I was hot poop when I won about $20K in a summer...'till the owner told me he figgerd the stick had won close to a million$ to date (2002).

I dont know Piglet. Its one of the best hitting cues I have played with but
I dont use it anymore. I am trying not to be a cue whore and just to just have a few and buy/sell/trade to get new ones on occasion.

One day I am going to wish I had kept all the cues I had ever bought and sold.
Now I shoot with a Predator and am pretty happy with it but still like to
buy and look at other cues. One day I might go back to a regular
shaft but for now I like the predator.

so what is the overall condition, 1-10 10 being new, and how much are you asking?

I would say it would be an eight.
Theres nothing wrong with the cues functionally.
It shows normal wear for a cue with that age.
It has never been refinished or re-wrapped.
One ferrel has a small crack (~ 1/8 inch) or scratch and where the
butt plate meets the butt cap the finish theres a small spot where the
clear coat has worn off.

I would rate it a 9 or 9.5 if it were re-finished. The points are still
vibrate with the classic triple veneers and the joint rings are in great shape.
I was going to refinish but decided to keep it in its original shape. Someone
else may feel differently. I was told that the refinishing would return the cue to "new" but IMO nothing is ever new again.

It hits great and was made by a few classic makers. The JOSS logo is clear and other than normal wear the cue is in great shape.

Make me a money offer or a trade off and we will see. I am not looking to
get maximum $$$ on this cue but I am not going to give it away as well.

I think as long as anyone is reasonable a deal good be made.
A cue is only worth what a buyer is worth giving not what the seller is wanting. I learned that a long time ago. You have to be reasonable and
fair to sell a few cues and know what a cue is worth to you when buying.
If you let the seller set the price I dont know if many cues would ever get sold.

I made an offer throrough the A-Z system but haven't heard back - they they have your correct e-mail address. Please PM me, thanks.
