1976 14K Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Watch

Here is 1976 solid 14K Gold Men’s Rolex Oyster Perpetual Date Watch, ref#15037, serial number 5004xxx, in lightly used condition. This is a small sized men’s watch, 34mm case with a little over 11 mm in thickness. The watch is in excellent, almost unused condition and includes all 12 14K Oyster links (one has been removed by a jeweler), inner box, outer box, owner’s manual, warranty/chronometer certification, and a spare acrylic crystal. I saw one similar on eBay for $8500+ that does not include the original box and papers like this one does. I will consider trades for high end cues, high end cues plus cash or would take TRADED for the watch. The watch will be sent via insured, overnight express mail due to its value which be included in the deal

Please feel free to PM or email me at ****@***.com if you have any questions.

Thanks,

Pat

I have been asked if the watch has been serviced. It to the best of my knowledge has never been opened. I calibrated the watch to my computer last night and it lost around 2 seconds in 25 hours while not being worn.

Watch is still available is keeping time pretty accurately. It has only lost 4 seconds since 7/29/2015. Have received some good offers but still looking for the right one.

Fyi

FYI if the watch had been serviced it's been opened by Rolex, taken apart, sonic cleaned, proper parts lubrictaed, & reassemble. It's also buffed and all
Marks removed. It's then boxed and It's then given a 1 yr Rolex factory warranty. Just an FYI.

The Rolex Forums is your best bet. A 74 model should have been serviced several times by now.

Those guys will give you an honest evaluation of your timepiece.

Good luck.

Very true you are. Everyone buys one and doesn't realize the maintenance needed and cost. Every 3-5 years it's needed and runs around $500 now I'm told. The last time I had one done on mine was $375 but prices keep going up

More like $1000. The pictures aren't that great but it appears a service is needed badly. Until the bracelet is pulled and serial numbers verified the price can vary wildly. Plenty of experts on that forum that can help the seller get top dollar.

I don't know enough about them to even discuss them but it sure is a good looking watch. Kinda glad I can't afford it....lol

I am a watch guy and understand about what you guys are saying about it should have been serviced. What you guys do not understand is this watch was hardly ever worn. It is in like new condition with just hairline scratches in the bracelet. It has only lost 4 seconds in the last 4 days which is outstanding for a mechanical watch.
