early model scruggs cue..bob gothup (scruggs partner) told me it was made in 1980...never refurbished..excellent original condition...4 point ebony veneer, scalloped diamond mother of pearl inlay, original irish linen wrap,birdseye maple forearm, 2 shafts, polished stainless steel joint...i was told by gothup its worth about 2500$ but am taking offers and all will be considered...also have original scruggs custom cues business card my dad got with it when bought ...feel free to email me at topchef77@hotmail.com or call at 315-572-6854 if ur interested...thanxxxx

Out of curiosity.... Why is he a fraud? because the craigslist post says $1000. Could that just be a starting price? In the post it says serious inquiries should call.

Again, i am just asking about the fraud comment. Maybe I missed something

Can I ask you who lists a "starting price" and expects to go UP during a negotiation? I mean sure, I'd love to do that. Hey see this cue.. we'll start at $1000 but I am looking for 2500...?!?!?!?!?!?!?

Why didn't he start this thread at $1000?

Also look on the syracuse CL boards.. he is now at 1800 list there...

Really all I can figure is he listed the cue for 1000, now he thinks it worth more and upped the price. But to know he was at 1000 elsewhere and comes here higher, well it can be interpreted a few different ways.

Ebay does. Take it easy I was just asking the reason. Now I know:thumbup:

I guess I read it differently, I read it like an Ebay sale almost, I assumed the $1,000 was the least amount he was taking.

He may very well be a scammer but I fail to see why listing the item the way he did makes him a "Scammer" automatically.

Oh I didn't know craigslist was an auction site.. lol now I know.. :thumbup:

I don't think he is as much a scammer as I am now convinced this is his first dance and he just had no idea on how to go about selling the cue.
