Nice Story with plenty of interest for a 1983 JOSS ..
I took the opportunity to play a game today with a 1986 Joss today at a local Stardust Bowling alley and share my Enthusiasm for the Game with others .

What a treat . Ace of Hearts and Ace of Spades in a Cracked Pool Case .

I'm searching for the golden fleece.....a flat ivory joint cue from Bill's golden era of cue-making, '72-'80.....would even consider up to 1983......however, there's a catch......the cue has to be in the mid 18 ozs (definitely under 19 ozs) and flat ivory joint.......as Mr. Stroud could probably confirm, that's going to be a challenge since during that period of his cue-making, and for cue-makers in general, cues that light were few and far between.

Anyway, I've not abandoned the search and still expect to wake up one day and locate just such a Joss West cue.....that would be a sweet surprise......meanwhile, like the old prospector, I continue to search for the fabled Lost Dutchman's Mine thinking one day it might happen......oh well, there'a always tomorrow.

Just for fun, here's the original Joss picture from 1982 of this model cue. The model is slightly different, in that the MOP diamond/dot inlays in the buttsleeve had an asymetrical pattern, whereas this cue doesn't seem to. However, pretty much looks like the same overall model.

My friend thinks its worth more and it probably isn't but it is to him. If he sold it he'd have to replace it so I am sure he will keep it. Thanks for all the information though i'll pass it all on to him.
