Thank you for posting the link. That match showed Danny to have solid fundamentals and solid strategy. Another treat, Mike Sigel and Bill Incardone were the official booth team but I think Grady Mathews stayed there for the entire match too.

Interestingly, the table was very wet and the booth felt that Danny might be one of the top three in the world in those conditions. They didn't take anything away from Johnny but said none of the young players at the time, like Johnny, had the knowledge and experience to deal with the wet table.

looks like a Diamond table with Simonis cloth. Some of the early diamonds were alot tougher to play on than the current Diamonds. The shelves were very deep making some rail first shots almost impossible.
