There are 2 hard to find and little known about 14.1 instruction tools that are the best I've ever seen.

The first is a home made video of Ray Martin giving an actual class on 14.1to a group somewhere in NY state. He actually gives a lecture while he is shooting, many times stopping after each shot and explaining exactly what he is thinking and why and how he is shooting each shot. It's amazing because he is constantly getting out of line because of all the explaining and answering questions from the audience and still runs 95 balls! He stresses how a pro 14.1 player thinks thru a rack. Its possibly the greatest 14.1 tape on how to play 14.1 that I've ever seen.
I've seen all the other 100 ball run tapes by Seigel, West, Rempe etc.and while there wonderful they make running a lot of balls look easy. This tape is great because it actually resembles how lesser players get into trouble and how to get out of problems with tons of very specific commentary by a 3 time World Champ.
The only problem with this video is the angle is not the greatest. It looks like an audience member brought there own camera and videoed the class. The sound is not great but you can hear all that Ray says very clearly.
If you can find it enjoy.

The other 14.1 item is the legendary 600+ page book of notes on pool and 14.1 collected by the great Mike Ufemea (not sure about the spelling) during his life time. His high run was 625. I heard that family and friends tried to get it published but that was a few years ago.
Many top players know about it and many have learned from it. Not a lot of people know of it and even less have a copy. There has always been a veil of secrecy about it and many people I know who had a copy wouldn't even say where they got a copy from. This is a monster source of info and a collectors item if you find it. Good luck!

It's Eufemia. I have a copy of the book and have been hoping to get it published, but so far the family seems reluctant to release the rights. It is currently in a fairly rough draft.

Put me at the top of the waiting list for them- they sound pretty interesting.

How much do I have to pay you to look at them next time you come to Buffalo Billiards in Cotati, Bob? :D
