2" Pool Balls - Are they for...?

Hi, I am curious about some sets of good quality 2" pool balls that are being sold in Ebay, mainly from Australian sellers, and I wonder if these smaller balls are used overseas to play pocket billiards or if they are meant only to be used on smaller-than-regular tables. Anyone? Thanks!

2" and 2-1/8" balls are often used for playing pool on snooker tables.

(or they could be from New Zealand - lots of hobbits there, I hear)

English 8-ball is played with 2 inch red and yellow balls, and one black ball.
Cue ball is 1 7/8 inches

7 foot table with snooker pockets
Cues are about 8 mm.

We use to have a 3' x 6' table in our basement. The ball size were the same as Snooker balls 2 1/8". I don't know about 2" ball sets though.
