Pockets Pool & Pub in Tucson, AZ kicked off the finals to the BIG CHILL points series that started on 10/06/07.

The three weekly tournaments contributed to the $2000 GUARANTEED tournament.

Every tournament entry earned each player 5 points in the ongoing series, in which participation as well as performance was rewarded. Each tournament won credited the player with 12 points, with 11 for second, etc.. down to a minimum of 5 points.

The top 32 players were invited to return on the 21st to vie for the cash.

The field drew a somewhat disappointing 27 players including 7 alternates that had accumulated points throughout the series.

The 32 man bracket was weighted/seeded by total number of points.

Monday's play would require only two wins to make it back to Wednesday's finals with 16 players in the cash.

Pockets' own Eric Yagla gained the top spot on the bracket with the most tournaments won & the most points earning him a first round bye. He won his second match by a score of 4-2 over Ryan Padilla.

Pockets owner Lenny Johnson made a last minute decision to get in the field and defend his points series championship. To his surprise, he did very well making it past both his first and second round opponents. (Milton Perez and Tim Christopher)

Kevin Peterson had a tough draw facing Zeb Crawford in the first round, defeating him and moving on to defeat Cruz Patino securing his spot in the Wednesday finals.
