I just bought this DVD from Accu-Stats.

It has Matlock vs. Reyes and Duel vs. Reyes playing one pocket.

Matlock had a decent chance against Reyes, but then blew one shot and it was pretty much over.

Duel tried some ultra-risky shot near the end of their match and Reyes got out pretty easily.

In terms of great one pocket play, I wouldn't rate either match as top-notch. There weren't any great shots or safeties in these matches. It was pretty much just a few unforced mistakes and Efren got out.

I will mention, however, that in the Matlock vs. Reyes match, DiLiberto (I think) mentions our own Williebetmore, which was kind of funny to me. He calls WBM a "pool nut" (which he is). That might be worth it! :p

My favorite line from DiLiberto during the commentary is when Matlock has run out but doesn't realize it and acts like he is going to keep going, Danny says, "Someone needs to take the key out of his back." Classic.

That cracked up Tony Annigoni too.

Sami-,
Thanks for the heads up. I can't believe Danny mentioned me on the commentary; but I guess this means I'll have to buy it. I hope he didn't try to give an accurate estimate of my pool skills (too embarrassing; though I've improved a LOT since last he saw me play).

Funny line from Danny D.:

ME: "Danny, is there anytime you want to hit your straight pool break shot with heavy draw (drawing off the pack all the way back to the head rail, and back out towards center table)?"

DANNY: "Oh yeah, definitely. As soon as you quit liking money."

McKinneyMiner, yeah that line was great!

WBM, he mentions you then Harry Platis! :p

I tried some straight pool with a good B player last night. We played a race to 100 for $20, him giving me 20 balls. Man did he kick my @$$! I can't run more than 5 balls on average when I have a decent opening.
