Entry fee is $275. They pay the top 12 out of 32, I believe. There is a lot of money added so the prizes are larger than would be ordinary with a field of this size.

First place is being advertised as $5,000.

Thanks Voodoo! I can't wait for this event; had to miss last year's due to a family wedding...

It's a wonderfully-run tournament, full of top-notch players. Why don't you come on up to New Yawk for the weekend???

The best thing to do is CALL (973) 334-7429 and ask for Bill Haley. He is the man to speak to.

Hello Straight Pool shooters

I am going to try to make it to this event, I played in the last on and had a great time. I look forward to seeing my fellow 14-1 players as I hope this tournament continues to grow.
See Yall there, Danny Harriman

C'mon guys.. lets get with it.. I just left Comet and he could use a few more confirmed. Its the weekend after the OPEN so all you road dogs, lets get it in gear. They haven't heard from quite a few players, he would like to get this done so he knows who is coming.

FYI Jack Colavita is back in the hospital and it maybe cancer.

Joe

Steve, is this event full of Pros, or do you get A and B players participating too? It sounds like a great event, but I don't want to entirely waste my money.

As an amateur, not pro player I can tell you that last year I finished runner up to a 'b' ish type player in a qualifier for this tournament. There will be a few a/b type players, but rest assure the field will be full of 150 ball runners.

Don't let Steve's modesty fool u guys. I believe that he posses a runner up finish in this tournament(if not a win) and also has the coveted Downingtown Straight Pool tournament win under his belt. GOOOOOOOOO Steve!!
