Well I just got back from Doncaster (about 45 minute drive drom my home) after watching the World Pool Masters Trick Shot championships. Vincent Facque ended up winning the event deservedly so, with the 3 judges (Drago, Tabb and Wych?) awarding him amssive 1200+ points. It was a pretty funny evenining especially with Davis and Pagulyan in the field. They both had a pretty bad time ofit getting an unlikely 281 points each to bring up the rear (much to their embarassmet but they took it in good fun) Alex in particular was in good form all night as his usual hyper self. The MC probably stole the show though keeping everyone amoused with his slap stick jokes etc.

I missed the afternoon session of the masters but I gather Manalo lost 8:2 to Hybler, Engert thrashed the European No 1 Sandor Tot 8:1 and Wu edged out Steve Davis 8:7 after Davis missed a bank in the last frame. Wu though lost his south west cue in transit and had to borrow a cue from another player.

The mathroom setup was pretty good though and the Metro table looked superb, a new light wood color that Ive never seen before.

I am going to go on Sunday all day to watch the last 8 down to the final so will try and post some pics and more info.

Cheers, Craig

Gotta love those airlines. They wont insure your cue for transit but they wont let you take it carry on as well. So their employees steal it....

That's too bad. Maybe it could be a blessing in disguise for Wu. Apparently, that SW he was playing with has a very noticeable wobble.
