I can see that there will be a few qualifiers that will be right on the border of getting their tour card. They won't know for sure if they will be in or not until the Chicago tournament in December.
I'm thinking the cutoff will be between 13000 and 17000. Right now Ralph Eckert is number 100 at $10,500. The Chicago tournament pays out $3000 to the bottom 75 and $5000 to 31st-75th.
So are these guys gonna qualify for the tour qualifier? Will their entries be refunded if they already have their 2007 tour card? Who will replace them at the main qualifier?
I think next year they should have all the tournaments finished before they start the qualifying process for the 2008 tour card. That would mean they would have to be done with the tournaments by September so they have enough time to hold all the qualifiers.
