Can someone post info about qualifiers for the events?
Can we see a list of entry fee to buy direct into the events?
Is anyone hosting any qualifiers in Ontario? Shooters? Can anyone host a qualifier as long as it covers the entry fee into the event?

Thanks for the help,
-Dan

cbsa.ca contains a little of the information you are seeking.

I actually got some information from 'the pool scene' website and NOTHING from CBSA.

If anyone can run qualifiers, Im going to try and have a few in Hamilton. 8, 9 and 10 ball if possible. Then I can just forward the payment to CBSA along with the name I guess?

More help please!

Thanks for the post Jason, you coming around any time soon?

Where would you host one in Hamilton? I might even make the trip down if you do manage to host a qualifier.

I would be having it at End Pocket in Hamilton if I am able to have a qualifier.

I think Shooters may be a closer option for you as I heard they have many qualifiers.

Bump for someone from CBSA to respond!

I'm from Hamilton originally, so it would be cheaper for me to go to Hamilton and stay with relatives

If you posted the entry fees for each tournament, I wouldnt need to talk to anyone. I could run tournaments at like $40 a pop and just pay their entry into the Canadians. I cant find the entry fee anywhere. I was disappointed to not hear about any qualifiers last year, even though I was told after that Shooters had them whenever people were interested.

I called John White today and he's getting me some info.

Hopefully you can post back with the info I need.

Dan,

The reason I asked you to contact John is because each Province gets assigned an "X" amount of spots for each division. Individuals are declared in by their Province. That is why I suggested that you contact John, a CBSA Director from ON.

And yes, you are right, if you are thinking this, all Provinces do not fill all their assisigned quotas, other that snooker, but John will know as we get closer to the Canadians, how many spots are still Open for ON to fill. We just can't have people filling spots, & then find out that we have 68 qualified thoughout Canada for the amateur 9-Ball, but a full field is 64.

But in saying all that, I am glad that you are interested in holding qualifiers to get ON players qualified. Randy Fawcett helped out in the St. Catherines area last year, & hopefully he will this year as well.

The sanction fees are;
Amateur 9-Ball - $175
Open 8 & 9-Ball - $325
Open 10-Ball - $225

Please keep John posted in how many you would like to qualify or have qualified. And most of all, thanks.

Thanks Steve,

I sent John an email. Just looking to run a few qualifiers since I couldnt find any last year to play in myself! Id say 2-3 max per event, nothing crazy.

Thanks for the post, I will wait for John to email me back.
