Two related news stories on www.professorqball.com about the 2012 USBA Nationals. The tournament will be held between May 5 and 11 in Las Vegas at the Tropicana as part of the ACS national championship week. Gabriels and the USBA have entered into a sponsorship partnership, and Gabriels will supply 8 Kronos tables for the USBA championship.

Do you think that 6 months is enough time to arrange for live streaming of the event ?

we have already started to work on live streaming.
This will cost us $$$$$ but it will be done. We will ask for donations to help us. You can be the first one to help

Ouch! That was a good one Chris! And you use to be so much nicer before you became a 3c fanatic. Ha Ha

I have received your generous donation and it will be going to support the live-stream. Thank you

We are hoping more donations will follow.

I've been asked recently by several players about the schedule for the 2012 nationals.

The tentative schedule is as follows:

Saturday, May 5: Player registration, practice time and players' meeting in the evening (7:00 p.m.)

Sunday, May 6: Play begins in the morning, either 9:00 or 9:30. Play continues May 7, 8, 9 and 10 with similar daily start times. The plan is to have play end each day no later than 6:00 p.m.

Thursday, May 10: The tournament concludes and the award ceremonies take place in the early evening.

Charles Brown is the tournament director. We are currently planning for 48 players but can expand or contract as necessary depending upon the number of qualifiers or other participants. We'll know more after the qualifiers are concluded at the end of February. There's a very small chance that a round might have to be played after the players' meeting on May 5 if we have more than 48 players. The official schedule will be announced in March. I hope this helps with travel plans for players and spectators.
