I ordered this cue directly from Pete in 2013. The cue was delivered in January of 2014.
Butt:
29", 15 oz
Shaft 1- 29", 4.2 oz., 13.00 mm. ivory ferrule, original tip
Shaft 2-29", 4.2 oz., 12.96 mm. ivory ferrule, original tip
This has been my daily player for the last 4 years. There are a few "dings" in the finish of the butt from wear and tear. Nothing that would require a refinish.
I ordered the cue and added a few upgrades over the standard offering from Pete. I opted for the stitch ring over the silver rings and also added the ivory over stainless joint over the SS joint. I prefer linen over leather for a playing cue.
The cue is constructed out of ebony into BEM with 4 ebony points with black/green/black/white veneers. The color theme is carried through to the linen wrap, white with green spec, and the ringwork colors, natural black, green, black, natural, to give the cue an overall curb appeal. In my opinion, nobody builds a Hoppe cue like Pete.
The two shafts offered here are practically new. I also ordered a third shaft and have used it exclusively. I only used the two "new" shafts when my third shaft was getting a new tip. I will offer up the third shaft in this sale to interested buyers. The shaft is around 12.4 mm, matching ringwork, ivory ferrule, 29" and shows wear from playing as you might expect.
