2015 DCC 9-ball Update

"at least 20 more players over there kiamco's speed"

come on now mark...

IMHO, I think that statement is true. Did you watch the last 2 Pacman's Tournaments held last year in the Philippines? Names I never heard of before dominated the tournament. I cannot even remember the names of the 2 guys who won the doubles tournament last December. And they won over an elite field that included SVB/Orcullo, Ko brothers, etc. In the first tournament, 2 seventeen year old kids (girl and boy) beat Orcullo/Biado. Kiamco was not even in the top 10 or 20 as far as I can remember.

And some 60 year old man won the singles event in the recent Cup

Sossei sells out, warren jack up and butcher the 5 so badly that he 5 rails it in, then hit titty trying to come up for 8, slices 8 in and out...

Tied at 4

:p He simply got lucky. Anyway, if they put 50 of those unknown monsters on a plane and they join the next US Open, aside from SVB and a couple of Americans, it will look more like the Philippine Open towards the end of the tournament.

Warren is hitting his stride now, winning the last 4 racks. Caroms in the 4-9 ball.

6-4.

6-6

...apparently, Jeremy didn't have any pressing business...
...he's here for a while

Sossei cue ball fails him again on a touchy speed safe, kiamco thins 6 in with rake, nice soft speed shot, holding whitey for 7 and out

7-6 Kiamco and breaking

Kiamco breaks makes a ball, has to play safe on 1, almost scratches but wp, sossei makes a nice 2 rail kick and safe, nice return safe by kiamco controlling both balls, very touchy soft kick safe executed by sossei, kiamco feathers 1 safe again, sossei plays well thought out safe but 1 leaks out leaving the edge, kiamco crosses 1 and almost combos 9 in, leaves edge of 1 again, sossei plays yet another touchy feather safe, 1 leaks out but whitey 9 ft away on rail, kiamco lags 1 in softly, holding whitey for deuce, tough combo on 4-9 here, drills it

kiamco on hill 8-6 and breaking

great safety exchange that kiamco edges sossei out in once again

Kiamco makes a ball, shape on 1, slides 2 rails out for deuce, two rails out again for 3 in same pocket, 1,2,3,4 all in same pocket, should be out from here and is. Bnr on the hill

9-6 Warren

Since Alex has already bagged the MOT award, I would like to see Warren take this 9-ball title. However, he has a tendency to falter near the end of a tournament. It would be pretty hard for Alex to double dip him though.
