Yes Hillbilly won the first set to force a final race to 9. Hillbilly was leading 5-0 in the first set and Sky came back to make a match out of it and Hillbilly closed it out.

In the second set, Sky had control and had Charlie stuck 8-2. Charlie showed a ton of heart and won the next 4 games in a row to make it 9-6. He left himself frozen to the rail shooting the 9 ball straight in to make it 9-7, but missed it and left a difficult shot where the cue ball and 9 were very close together. Sky only had one pocket to shoot it in all the way down the table, and that's what he did. Set over. I honestly thought Charlie was going to make it hill hill. Congrats to both guys.

Congratulations to Skylar Woodward on winning the 42nd Annual Texas Open! He battled it out against 2-time Texas Open Champion Charlie "Hillbilly" Bryant. It went 2 sets with Charlie winning the first 9-6. Sky displayed some amazing talent and took it down in the 2nd set with the same score 9-6.

It was an exciting victory for the new champion. Also some notable mention of Justin Bergman finishing fourth, he played some of the highest level pool ever witnessed with more break and runs than we all have seen in a very long time, including opening the set with an 8-pack against Jundel Mazon. It took the focus of Robb Saez to put a stop to Bergman which culminated in a great 3rd place finish for Robb.

Thanks for joining us at the 42nd Annual Texas Open and we hope to see you here again next year.

Skys Cue

Not trying to be sarcastic but I was curious if Sky played with a Meucci since they started marketing his bar box line. If not, what does he play with?
