2016 BCAPL Wisconsin State Championships
We are excited to announce the 2016 BCAPL Wisconsin State Championships which will be held March 16-20 in Wisconsin Dells, WI!
The event will be held inside the beautiful Chula Vista Resort (not the Dome) and we are planning on 70-80 Diamond tables with lights hung over each. Divisions will include Scotch Doubles, Mixed Singles, Women’s Singles, Mixed Teams, and Women’s Teams.
NOTE: This event is open to any BCAPL or USAPL league. It is NOT restricted to Wisconsin residents.
We are also excited to announce that Fargo Ratings will be used to establish divisions, team rating limits, and accurate handicaps within divisions. The days of using the old and outdated system of AA, A, B, C, etc. are finally over! We can now offer a completely objective rating system that does not rely on biased personal judgment and is not influenced by politics and personal agendas. FargoRate computes worldwide pool-player ratings by coupling game win/loss data from leagues, tournaments, and select challenge matches around the globe. Unlike any other system ever developed, it rates players everywhere on the same scale. A Fargo Rating of 620 means the same thing in Halifax, Nova Scotia as it does in Christchurch, New Zealand as it does in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I encourage you to download the entry forms from the official webpage and review the exciting new format and structure using Fargo Ratings.
Although many leagues in Wisconsin and the surrounding states may have already made sanctioning decisions, we encourage everyone to share this information with their League Operator and fellow players and get their league sanctioned today! We are ready to assist in getting previous league sessions and new Spring sessions sanctioned. Once sanctioned, league members who meet the minimum requirements can participate in all divisions and enjoy this terrific event.
